The Mobile Meal Alliance - Food Truck Voucher Program
This program was created in response to the pandemic in 2020. The participating food trucks served over 25,000 voucher meals at 10-different locations in its first year! We can now see a need to bring this popular program back in 2026.
Program Description: The Mobile Meal Alliance is a food truck meal voucher program. Funds donated to an organization, church, non-profit or other entity are converted into food truck meal vouchers that are given to individuals in need of food support. Food trucks (with a current health & fire permit, business license and proof of insurance) are then scheduled by the state food truck association to be hosted at schools, churches, food banks or other easy to access locations. Printed meal vouchers can be distributed to local non-profits (YMCA, Helping Hands, Salvation Army, food banks, etc.) or to individuals and families in need of food support. The voucher ($13 value) contains all the information needed for people to visit a pre-designated food truck and receive food without cost to them.
“I love this program because it "levels the field" for those in need and those with means. For families, it's like "going out to dinner" at a safe place, and for individuals, its just not the same as it is to grab food at a food bank - it's something more extravagant and hot. “
