Applying for Membership:

The Washington State Food Truck Association is a Limited Liability Corporation (LLC).  It is a private organization designed to serve the interests of its members. Membership is only for current mobile food vendors, or those in the start-up phase of opening a mobile food business.  Application is not a guarantee of membership. Upon receipt of your annual dues payment and new member application, we will schedule a short phone meeting with you.  We want to ensure that new members understand what the Association does, and we want to ensure that all prospective new members will be a good fit with the Association. We are looking for members who will positively represent the mobile food industry, and will work well with fellow members. We strongly believe in community!

WSFTA Terms & Conditions for Membership:

The WSFTA does not have many rules, but we are very serious about the few rules that we do have. If you are not 100% willing or able to comply with these rules, the WSFTA is not for you.

Problems with our members are very rare, however a WSFTA membership can be suspended, or terminated, at any time at the discretion of the Executive Director. If your membership is terminated, you will receive a full refund of any unused booking fees. Unlike booking fees, annual membership dues are NOT refundable. There is no appeals process for membership termination. Grounds for membership termination can include, but are not limited to:

  • Failure to abide by all state and local laws, rules, regulations, and ordinances regarding mobile food vending.

  • Acting unprofessionally in a way that reflects poorly on the WSFTA, or the food truck industry as a whole. Our members represent the very best in the food truck industry and are expected to act professionally at all times.

  • Attempting to undermine or hamper the work or mission of the WSFTA.

  • Sharing your unique WSFTA membership password with any non-member.

  • Offensive, disrespectful, or rude conduct toward event hosts, government officials, fellow association members, or any WSFTA staff or volunteers.

  • Misusing the WSFTA Member Forum (private Facebook group). The Member Forum is for food truck related discussions only. Do NOT use the Member Forum to promote or sell items or services. All posts must be respectful and polite.

  • Bypassing our booking system by directly booking yourself at a vending location or special event that is being actively managed by the WSFTA.

  • Being dishonest or untruthful regarding licenses, permits, insurance coverage, sales numbers, etc….

  • Communication - We MUST be able to communicate with members. Members who fail to respond to direct communications, when asked to do so, will be removed from our event referrals system, will be unable to book at our managed vending locations, and risk having their membership suspended or terminated.

The Washington State Food Truck Association gladly welcomes members from all races, nationalities, religions, genders, and sexual orientations. The WSFTA is a safe community, where all members are to be treated respectfully, equally, and kindly. We have zero tolerance for those who violate this policy.

Members who choose to book at pod/lot locations and events managed by the WSFTA must agree to the Terms & Conditions stated here. Failure to adhere to these could result in being temporarily, or permanently, suspended from the booking system.

Step 1 - Annual Membership Dues Payment

Pay with any debit or credit card via Paypal: $280 annual membership, plus a new member application fee of $40. The 12-month membership will begin the day the application is approved. If an applicant fails to complete the application process (e.g., new member phone meeting), their account will not be fully activated and it will expire 1-year from the application date, without refund. If your application for membership is rejected, your payment will be fully refunded. You do not need to have a Paypal account in order to complete this payment. It’s a good idea to print your Paypal receipt for your tax records.

You must complete this step or we cannot process your application.

Step 2 - The Membership Application
